Why Don't The Rabid Anti-Obamites Just Tell it Like it Is?

Over the course of the last two years as Barrack Obama has moved to the forefront of American politics, we have seen an increasing number of attempts to discredit him in some way. All are obvious as to their goal. Those who would advance these ideas are trying, of course, to influence the vote in favor of John McCain...or are they? Could it be that they really don't care who the next president is, as long as it isn't Obama?

There is the "fake" birth certificate, which, according to those who have compared it to other Hawaiian birth certificates, is identical to all others. Then there is the "Obama is a terrorist" label. I saw a car yesterday festooned with a dozen or so stickers, one of which read "Vote Obama Bin Laden." Along with terrorist we then add "Muslim." It is a given that if you are a Muslim, then it would follow that you are a terrorist. These labels are very easy to attribute to Obama because of his name and because his father was born Muslim.

Many groups including the Republican party and the McCain campaign are of course guilty of using these slanderous labels in a sly way to describe Obama. I have asked myself many times, why are they working so hard? Why do they seem to hate this man so much? Some, like the man in line in PA with his monkey, named Obama, are open and obvious. Others cover up their real reason with Muslim, terrorist, communist or the fake birth certificate. They are too "nice" to say what they really mean.

When you hear these Anti-Obamites say that this is the scariest election in the history of the United States, they mean one thing and only one thing. Barrack Obama is BLACK . They aren't scared of his policies. They know that what he says makes sense. It is obvious to them that this man is intelligent and well organized. Many of them claim to be Christians. Of course, the southern slave owners claimed to be Christians as well. They simply do not want the president of the United States to be an African-American. For them it is the end of life as they have known it. For the first time in our history there will be a man of a different race in charge, and they are simply scared out of their wits. I'm sure that somewhere in the book of Revelations, someone can point to a verse that says that the United States is forever to be a "white" nation.

The Republicans are playing this racist fear of Obama to the hilt. They are using all the right words and phrases to attract these people and to get their votes. They know what they are doing, and they know that racism is at the heart of so much of the anti-Obama sentiment. The bottom line is the simple fact the McCain and the Republican party are so pent upon retaining the power that they have had for the last forty years and particularly the last eight years, that they will do or say anything to get the vote. They will prey upon every fear they can muster.

On The Daily Show last night Obama handled this issue with class and humor. When asked by Jon Stewart if because he is half white, half African is he torn when he goes into the voting booth, Obama replied that "it is a problem, I'm going through therapy to make sure that I vote correctly." It would appear that there are many millions in this country who need that therapy. They need to learn that this country has changed. We, the Caucasian population, are soon to be in the minority. We can work with other ethic groups to make the transition smooth and peaceful or we can be Neanderthals and fight it. We can fight it, but we can't win it. The train is at full speed and we can't stop it. As the modern saying goes, "deal with it," and get on with life.

You just don't get it, mountain man! There are plenty of blacks that people like myself would vote for in a minute, even before John McCain. Your man is so shallow, eloquent, good looking and slick. Talk about hate, look at what has gone on for the last 8 years. Read your Bible and see what has been prophesied and read your newspaper or watch tv and see what is happening. Some of us would just like to see it stalled for a while, but on the other hand, the way things are going it will be great to see the Lord return. He is returning! This world has not been promised to be a place of peace until Jesus returns, but God has always blessed obedience and punished disobedience. We are pushing God out of every area of our lives more and more and then we act like He approves. In the last days, if we harden our hearts and refuse to harken we can be given over to a strong delusion. It is time for a revival to turn back to God or we best be getting others ready for His coming. The Great Commission is our marching orders. It is sad to see Christians unable to see the signs of the times. mom2

LOL. When is the big event supposed to happen this time? I know that Obama is considered the anti-Christ, mainly, I suppose, because he is black, but I haven't heard a date yet. I'm sure someone will propose one soon. Do we need to store bottled water and canned goods like during the turn of the century when, according to many, the Bible said caos was going to ensure? mom2, if Obama is elected, and that's a big if, let's talk about this, say four years from now, and see if we can prophesy at that time when the second coming is going to happen. I have news. No one knows that, and no one will be able to figure it out. They have tried and they have predicted and it hasn't happened yet. Obama is a candidate for president and nothing more. If you want to send money to these prophets to help buy their beach houses, jets, and Armani suits, feel free.

Scoffers are a part of the prophesy also. I tithe to my local church and what extra I can give goes to feed the hungry and drill water wells in Africa. Is there anything wrong with that?
You are looking for a messiah in a man and a government. It is not going to happen. I will look toward the Eastern sky. I make no date predictions, but I do read the papers and listen and watch tv along with my Bible each day. I want to have oil for my lamp for when He does arrive. mom2

I know that you are a good person and that you do what you can to help those less fortunate. You have mentioned that before, and I would never question that. That isn't the point of the post at all.

I'm not looking for a Messiah. I'm looking for a president that is an antidote to the past eight years of miserable leadership. I'm also looking for someone who is an alternative to the McCain shipwreck. If that man wins this election after such a mismanaged campaign, I fear for what the US government will dissolve into with his management style, if there is one.

LOL, boy you got one heck of an anon follower! Your post is right on the money. The melting pot gets hotter every decade. I wish I'd be around to see it all poured out into one people of many.

Check Ryan Hale and my Baptist site baptistlife.com for links to Anniston Star link on Red/Blue religion and politics.
I am hoping a serious discussion evolves there.
And you will want to listen online to last Oct 29 or 30 NPR Fresh Air interview of Berkeley's Proff Gorney on the politics of Abortion.
Leaves your endtimer anon fellow with no arguments left, at least if he is honest about the politics of the fading preeminent Religious right wedge issue.

You are so kind DS. Thanks.

Actually, Christians have no problem with his race. The fact is that he, without question, is the most pro-abortion politician that I've ever seen. All real Christians are anti-abortion. As far as his economic policies go, all you have to do is look at Europe to see where we're going-higher taxes on EVERYBODY (not just the "rich"), socialized medicine with long waiting lines for even stuff that should be a priority, and government funded abortions. Someone doesn't have to be a Christian to oppose those "policies", they just have to have sense.

I could not help but wonder about the picture on diane j standiford's comments, so I went to "the" site. I say "the" because of not knowing which to call the. May God help "her", (I guess) to have a greater understanding of the Word for all areas of her life. This is an example of a lot of the confused problems going on in the world. Obama will not be able to help. mom2

ABortion politics, the likes of those purveyed by James Dobson of half cocked and dimwitted.
If you really want some light and truth on the politics of abortion go to NPR.org and click on Fresh Air, the Proff Gorney show of Nov 29 or 39; all easily googled up.
Listen closely then bring your more informed points back here.

Actually, Joe, I would like for you to point me to where Obama has said anything about socialized medicine or government funded abortions. You won't find it. In fact he isn't the most "pro-abortion" politician. If you look at what he says, you won't find that. He supports a woman's right to choose, but he wants to prevent those unwanted pregnancies that often lead to abortions. You will never stop abortion, legal or otherwise, but you can reduce the unwanted pregnancies. If you look at what people like you make up, you will find those things, but they don't come from his mouth. Let's all do like Fox says and check out that NPR program. Mom2, I don't have a clue as to what you mean about DS's picture and I don't know what Obama has to do with it.

Universal health care would HAVE to be socialized medicine. There is no way to GIVE everybody FREE healthcare with the level of quality that we currently have by being responsible for finding our own coverage (it's called looking for a better job, llberal hand-out seekers). Since it would be government provided that would be a socialist program.

As to your question about Hussein's view of government funded abortions, he said "The first thing I’d do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act" as quoted here (http://www.ncregister.com/site/article/14928/). As you would know if you had read about it, this proposed legislation would create a federally guaranteed “fundamental right” to abortion through all nine months of pregnancy, including, as Cardinal Justin Rigali of Philadelphia has noted in a statement condemning the proposed Act, “a right to abort a fully developed child in the final weeks for undefined ‘health’ reasons.” In essence, FOCA would abolish virtually every existing state and federal limitation on abortion, including parental consent and notification laws for minors and conscience protections for pro-life citizens working in the health-care industry—protections against being forced to participate in the practice of abortion or else lose their jobs. A person could not be denied an abortion even if all they had was Medicaid. Therefore, since Medicaid is federal money, federal money would be used for abortions. The pro-abortion National Organization for Women has proclaimed with approval that FOCA would “sweep away hundreds of anti-abortion laws [and] policies.”

Just random points I have to mention because I can. I totally respect Joe's opinions whether I agree or disagree, and figure he probably might as well. But, just two things that annoy me, when people think that pro-choice is somehow pro-abortion. Hardly. Yep, I'm pro-choice 100%, but am no proponent of abortion, that's for certain. Why that can't be understood by some I'll never understand. Second main thing is I'm sick, so to speak, of hearing about how universal health care being such a bad thing, socialist (there's that word again) even. I don't follow blindly, and have checked out the pluses and minuses of whatever arguments anyone has put out there for whatever else goes on in other countries. Mostly, though, doesn't seem to suck so much to take care, and good care even, of citizens' health with no more socialist (which, I don't even know why that's such a bad word personally) bent than social security, medicare, fill in the blank. We take care of each other, or should anyway.

Ok, here's the deal, pro-choice means that abortion should be legal. If abortion is legal then some people (people who have been born) have more of a right to live than people who have not been born. Anti-abortion means that all people have the right to live without being murdered.

I'm just sayin'....

I'm really late with this because my email put these last responses into spam. However, I must go on record. Obama has never said anything about "universal free healthcare." Never! YOU have to pay for it.
