What Will Comedian Rush Limbaugh Say Now?

When Barrack Obama visited his ailing grandmother in Hawaii recently, Rush Simplebaugh opined that there was no sick grandma. Instead, Limpbaugh tried to re-ignite an already dead issue. Obama, he said, was visiting Hawaii because of his "fake" birth certificate.

I wonder what Lemmingbaug will say now. I suppose there was never a grandmother and he will say that the casket will be empty. After all, will we ever see a picture of Ms. Dunham in repose? Of course not, she never existed. Those pictures of Obama and his grandparents are fakes. He was really born in Kenya and somehow, came to the United States as part of a Muslim sleeper cell, where he waits to take over the country tomorrow and deliver it to Iran in January. Pray people, pray!

It must be a really difficult and bittersweet time for Mr. Obama. How difficult it must be to have to spend the last day of a campaign trying to win the presidency and having to mourn for one who has been such an integral part of what you are today. I was glad to hear that McCain had stepped out of the mud long enough to send his and his wife's condolences. There is a small bit of decency left, although there was no acknowledgement, when Obama went to visit his grandmother two weeks ago.

Rest in peace, Ms Dunham. Thank you for raising your grandson right.

Christian Values and McPalin

I am so tired of getting these emails spouting how Obama and the Democrats don't reflect "our" Christian values, whatever they are, because none of these emails give any details. These people are, of course, insinuating that McCain does reflect these nebulous "values." I just want someone to tell me how John Sidney McCain reflects these "values." Please.

Do these "values" include cheating on your sick wife with a rich bimbo, then divorcing her to marry the bimbo? Do they include "cussing like a sailor?" Do they include poor sportsmanship and inciting crowds to the point that they yell "kill him" and "terrorist?" Do they include your teenage daughter, who ends up unmarried and pregnant because you haven't been a good parent and taught her about the "Christian values" that you espouse? Do they include backstabbing those who disagree with you, so that you retain absolute power? Do they include flat out lying on a regular basis?

What are those "values?" I want to know, because I can't find many virtues in McCain/Palin. In fact I can't see how you can base your choice of candidates on "Christian values." Most politicians didn't get where they are by telling the truth. They lie on an almost daily basis. They stab anyone in the back, even their friends, if it means staying on top. Don't tell me these are "Christian values." Just show me how you can base your choice on these "Christian values."

I kind of thought so. You simply can't explain yourself, when you talk about "Christian Values" and McCain/Palin. I am waiting to see how many responses I get from these "Voting Christian Values" emails that I responded to. My guess? None. There is no response, except for another "Christian" lie.

Should We Be Concerned for Obama's Safety?

The Alaskan Bimbo has been on the attack, questioning Obama's relationship with an aging, reformed 60's revolutionary. It is a huge stretch to even pose the question, but when a vicious animal is cornered it will do anything to try to survive. As this egotistical, ill mouthed, re-incarnation of Barbie continues to repeat her unfounded attacks, along with her bad-tempered mentor, their supporters have become more restless and mean spirited.

Videos of the rallies pick up responses to McCain and the Bimbo's attacks. In the background supporters are heard yelling, "kill him" and "terrorist." If these people are unstable enough to believe the lies, is there someone listening to their inciteful talk, who is at this moment constructing a bomb or cleaning an assault rifle in preparation for an assassination attempt? I think there is more than a 90% possibility that planning is underway.

In this country at the moment there are so many radical Christians, who hate Muslims and who believe the insinuations about Obama's Muslim connections, there very well could be a member of God's Army ready to do battle. There are many white supremacist groups that will not tolerate an African American president and are ready to ensure that this doesn't happen. Most of these people consider themselves Republican. Since, their leaders are pushing them toward the brink and not calling anyone to task for the comments, but, instead, continuing to encourage bad behavior, I will not be surprised if there is an attempt on Obama and his family's lives. I don't think they will just go for him. They will try for the entire family to send a message.

If, indeed, something does happen and let's pray that it doesn't, McCain and the Bimbo will have to take some of the blame. They would not be directly responsible, but they have done nothing but encourage anger with their lies and boorish behavior. Nothing has been said to curb the mob environment we are seeing at their rallies.

Tonight in the debate, McCain showed his cowardly side. He and the Bimbo can call Obama names and make broad insinuations about his character and his background, but he is unwilling to look Obama in the face and say those things. I must say that Obama is quite the consummate professional, who was willing to stand on stage with this low-life individual and actually be civil. I could not do that.

Let us hope that I am a wild-eyed pessimist, who is so far out in left field that I can't see home plate. Maybe I making the proverbial mountain out of a mole hill, but I will be very scared for Obama and his family over the next few weeks and into his presidency. Let us hope that the Secret Service is investigating, and I heard tonight that they are taking these overheard comments very seriously. I just hope that they are giving the Obama's the kind of security that they need. On the other hand, I hope that McCain is getting it as well. There are dangerous people on both sides, and the incendiary behavior of McCain and the Bimbo can do some bad things to the unstable minds in the Obama camp as well. Unfortunately, McPalin isn't taking that side very seriously.

Who Is To Blame Now?

I know it is much more complicated, but the immediate result of today's House vote was a record drop in the Market. The results are huge losses in retirement accounts, mutual funds, and other investments, meaning the the main streeters like us lost greatly. I don't know what the effect of the bailout will be. It may be worse. It may make things better. It could go either way.

John McCain put all of his eggs in the basket, lied about suspending his campaign and worked his way back to Washington to save the day. Obviously, he has as much influence as his buddy "The Shrub" when it comes to winning an important vote such as that which took place today.

So, who is to blame? Well, the immediate blame goes to the Republicans, who voted against the bill. The market is down and who knows where it will go from here? We have lost great sums of money in retirement investments today. Credit just got much tighter for homeowners and businesses. What else can we expect from these people who have dominated the White House and the Congress for most of the last eight years? If they haven't dominated, they have stymied and vetoed. Now we have a mess, and they vote to prolong it.

Tom Ridge's Freudian slip says it all. McCain spent a big part of his speech last night trying to distance himself from the Bush Regime, but, given his record and his current campaign, he failed miserably. He is completely intertwined with Bush, voting with him, supporting his invasion, and receiving hugs and kisses from him.

The issue is not Sarah Palin and her outward good looks and folksy ways. It's not McCain's attempt to turn Obama's "change" theme to his own as an "outsider" and "maverick." It is the fact that McCain is a clone of Bush, who would continue the archaic agenda of the Bush Regime, with a Cheney-like Palin at his side. Palin, convinced as are most fundamentalists, that God is only on her side and everything she does is God's will, would be worse than Cheney has ever been.

No, John (Bush) McCain, you are not change. You are a continuation of Bush's failed policies, his unnecessary war, and his continual trouncing of the Constitution. You and your "cute" VP are not the answer to this country's problems. You are simply seed for taking this country farther away from the values the founding fathers tried to put in place for us, and which the Bush Regime with your help, has tried to destroy.

"Hallelujah, We Shall Rise."

The Republicans have managed to shoot themselves in the foot once again. Fortunately, I guess, for them, they never seem to limp afterward. I guess it is because so many of the faithful are such hypocrites. They rant, rave, and rail about morality, then throw it all to the wind when one of their own fails to live up.

Gov. Palin's current revelation is a case in point. Apparently, the McCain campaign never "vetted" the good Governor. According to leading Alaskans, Democrat, Republican, or otherwise, no one discussed the Governor with any of them. This all grew out of a necessity. Sources in the know point out that McCain wanted either Liberman or Ridge, both pro-choice proponents. This wouldn't do with the Republican faithful, so a "pro-family, anti-sex education/pro-abstinence only" candidate was chosen. Even as I write this, the McCain campaign is in Alaska, "vetting" their candidate.

Suddenly, out of the blue, the Governor announced that her 17 year old unmarried daughter is pregnant. Palin is so proud of her daughter for "deciding to have the baby" and to marry the father. I guess so. If the child's mother is so anti-abortion that she would force her daughter to have the child of a rapist, I doubt that there would be any choice in the matter. As for the father, I wonder how long the shotgun was held to his head before he said yes.

Now the "pro-family" (defined as mothers should be seen, not heard, and always at home with their children, not out doing non-mother-like things such as being VP.) Republican faithful, including the fundamentalist pastors, who usually rail against unwed mothers and mothers working outside the home, are surrounding the Gov. with "love." Of course it is perfectly normal for this to happen to one of their own, and they are completely OK with it.

Apparently, the Gov. also has a few other skeletons in her closet of which the faithful weren't aware, blinded as they were by her extremist, anti-abortion views. She has a case pending over the possible unlawful dismissal of an Alaskan state trooper. Then there is the case of the "other" baby. It seems that no one, even some close to her at work, knew that she was pregnant a few months back. This after her having four children. Suddenly, she announced that she had a baby. The baby may well we hers, but now, given, the latest bombshell, one has to wonder. Finally, there is her husband who has been registered as a member of the American Independence Party, an extremist group which, among other things, advocates the return of all Alaskan federal land back to the state.

Will all of these questions affect Palin's nomination? Of course not. The old double standard will apply. It is OK if it happens to you, but not if it happens to someone else. Then there is the case of the "American Way." Presently, unmarried mothers are more the norm than not. So many Americans have accepted this phenomenon as a way of life, that they would vote for the Gov., simply because she is now one of them. Certainly her extremist views are so acceptable to the fundamentalist faithful, that they will easily overlook any "minor" shortcomings. In short, they have their candidate now. God is in his heaven, and all is right with the world. To quote a popular gospel song, "Hallelujah, we shall rise."

Gustav: Fodder for the Convention

Wow! The Republicans couldn't have asked for something better. A hurricane bearing down on the Gulf Coast and a chance to profit from voter suffering. Bush cancels his appearance at the convention to be "in charge" during the storm. McCain will use the suffering and destruction as a back drop for his acceptance speech. The wives will speak from the convention to talk about helping the storm victims. A storm made in Heaven just for the Republicans.

What more can I say? The good thing about this is that the folks in that area will receive the help they deserve this time around. It's a shame there wasn't a convention and potential votes to be tallied, when Katrina rolled around and sad that the Republicans will attempt to use this one for political gain. Let's hope the voters see through the smoke screen.

This Man Says He is Qualified to Run the US Government

Two quotes from today's New York Times say it all:

"Senator John McCain’s campaigns have long been defined by internal squabbling and power plays, zigzagging lines of command and a penchant by the candidate for consulting with former advisers without alerting current ones, always a recipe for disquiet."

"Mr. McCain is uncomfortable firing people or banishing them entirely. His orbit remains filled with people who have been demoted without being told they are being demoted, like Mr. Davis, who continues to hold the title of campaign manager even as Mr. Schmidt manages the campaign."

I have said it before and I will say it again. If he can't manage his campaign and his people, how can he manage the United States Government? If he is uncomfortable firing people, how can he brag about his success in running a Naval outfit? One has to wonder.
