Oath Keepers: Read it and Weep. Better Yet, Shiver. This is Scary Suff

Just read this post on Mother Jones and see what the treasonous crazies are up do. It is an increasingly scary country in which we live, and the Republicans are in league with and attempting to enable these folks by gutting state gun control laws nationwide. It reeks of a power hungry mob that lost its control when Bush and Cheney left office. It probably also fears a mixed race president. My guess is that many of the folks are white supremacists and radical Christians who have united.

Scott Brown, A Sheep in Wolf's Clothing?

A few weeks ago Scott Brown, the centerfold, turned politician, and Republican at that, was elected to replace Ted Kennedy as the Senator from MA. His election was celebrated by the teabaggers, nee Republicans as the end of the just begun Obama era. He was endorsed by the Alaskan Bimbo, embraced by John Boehner and his buddies, and lauded as the next coming.

But wait! Something terrible has happened. This scumbag turncoat has said that he will vote with the Democrats on the jobs bill. Hanging is to good for this dude! Draw and quarter him! Disembowel him and leave his bones to bleach on the steps of the Capitol as a reminder to any Republican member of Congress that bi-partisan thinking is forbidden in the modern era!

Who knows where Jones stands? Time will tell us, of course, whether he is truly a teabagger's delight or a moderate Republican. Given the position that Jones has taken on the jobs bill, one has to wonder whether he is a sheep in wolf's clothing. Could it be that he was fooling? Republicans are so easily taken in by a few radical words. A smooth talking politician only has to say that he or she supports a ban on gays in the military, hates abortions and Mexicans, and wants to put the church in charge of the government. The votes will roll in. Teabagger Republicans is so stupid!

Another One Bites the Dust

The wife of Benny Hinn, the big haired TV "evangelist," has filed for divorce from her husband of 30 years. Hinn is a faith healer, who preaches prosperity for his followers. He sets the example by living lavishly. A few years ago, 60 minutes discovered that he was flying to Europe on the Concord, staying in the most expensive hotels, and wearing very expensive suits. He owns several homes

Hinn has a world wide following that believes devotion to God will bring them wealth...well maybe not quite as much as "Pastor" Benny, but then they are not as devout, I suppose. Furthermore, they contribute their wealth to "Pastor" Benny to keep him "right" with God. Like many of his ilk, he refuses to divulge how he spends his money and is one of the targets of Sen. Charles Grassley's (R, Iowa) investigation of church non-profits.

It will be interesting to hear why the wife is filing for divorce. According the LA Times, irreconcilable differences were cited as the reason. Will it be another woman, another man, alcohol, drugs, child molestation? It may simply be a falling out of love, but given the track record of Hinn's fallen peers, I doubt it seriously. We can anticipate the tearful confession, the statement that God has already forgiven him, and, possibly, the obligatory rehab stint. One thing for certain, he will ultimately maintain his lifestyle, his TV show, and his crusades. These guys always find a way to recyle themselves.
